Navy to honor Memorial Day with rifle salute May 27

Salute will occur at NBK-Bremerton but will not be open to the public

Naval Base Kitsap will host a Memorial Day commemoration ceremony Monday, May 27 at noon at NBK-Bremerton, to recognize the men and woman who have died serving in the United States armed forces.

The event will not be open to the public. The ceremony will include a rifle salute from the NBK rifle team. Residents and communities in the NBK-Bremerton area should expect to hear loud noises for a portion of the ceremony. Blank ammunition will be used.
