Most Kitsap County recycling and garbage facilities will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31.

Recycling and garbage facilities in Hansville, Silverdale and Olalla will be closed on Memorial Day. Regular schedules resume after the holiday.

Two facilities — the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility and Bainbridge Island Transfer Station (privately owned) are always closed on Mondays.

The only county facility open on Monday will be the Olympic View Transfer Station.
