Merry Christmas | Hansville Happenings

I sat down to write a poem for this year’s Christmas Card, but no words of rhyme or ideas came—it just seemed too hard.

I sat down to write a poem for this year’s Christmas Card, but no words of rhyme or ideas came—it just seemed too hard.

In the past I wrote about eggnog, so I couldn’t do that again, and I wrote about holiday travel and about Christmas in the rain.

I’ve also written about a kid seeing the Jolly one,and about the excessive bell ringing — that’s all been done.

So what could I say about the Christmas Season this year?Well, maybe I could say it like others do in order to spread the cheer.

Maybe I could say Feliz Navidad like the Spanish speaking people do,or use Esperanto, Gajan Kristnaskon, or the Swedish, God Jul.

I could use the Hawaiian Mele Kalikimaka, or the Navajo Merry Keshmish,  or the Croatian Sretan Bozic, and you could pick any one you wish.

Another choice in English is Hey, Have a Good One, or should I just be me and say Happy Holiday and have it done.

In any case I do wish you the merriest and happiest of good cheer, and hoping you will all prosper and are healthy in this upcoming year.
