The Kitsap County sheriff’s office and Bremerton police apprehended a fugitive without incident July 6.

A $1 million felony warrant was issued for a local man who reportedly shot a woman in the face July 5.

Sonny Lee Belgard Jr., 40, was wanted on suspicion of attempted murder in the second degree for domestic violence.

Belgard allegedly shot a woman after an argument at 6 a.m. on NE Quinault Drive, north of Bremerton.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and remained hospitalized.

Belgard fled and was considered armed and dangerous, police officials said.
