BREMERTON – A 52-year-old Bremerton man died Jan. 23 after he reportedly collapsed while standing in the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.

Washington State Patrol identified the man as Leroy A. Hunter. The driver is not being identified here because she has not been charged or cited.

The incident occurred at 5:19 p.m. on Highway 3 at Division Avenue, three miles south of Bremerton. Hunter was standing in the roadway after being involved in a two-car, non-injury collision. He “collapsed for unknown reasons,” state patrol reported, and was struck by a car heading south on 3.

The incident is under investigation.
