Local stores could use your business this holiday season

It’s no secret that COVID-19 restrictions have decimated local businesses everywhere.

That’s true in Poulsbo, too.

The North Kitsap Herald wants to encourage locals to shop in town this holiday season.

This time of year is always important to local businesses, but especially this year with the downturn in the economy.

Local businesses have been hurting for months due to ever-changing coronavirus restrictions.

So instead of shopping online at helping some mega corporation increase its profits, please make the effort to support your local community.

The people who own and work here are your friends and neighbors.

Their livelihoods are just as important to them as yours is to you.

And please be patient when you do shop locally.

They are still under heavy restrictions to limit the number of people in their stores at any one time.

To make it easier on yourself, you may want to check out their websites, see what you want and call ahead to order it.

They might even offer curbside pickup or local delivery.

Make the holidays merrier for not only your local businesses but also for yourself in knowing that you are helping others.

To get you started, the North Kitsap Herald visited some local stores to see what kinds of things they have to offer.

This is only a snapshot of some of the stores and some of the gift ideas for sale.

We hope this quick look entices you to check out what else is available.

Thanks for supporting local businesses, including ours.
