Local roller derby league to host double-header Saturday

Northwest Derby Company is Kitsap County’s only adult roller derby league

Local roller derby league, Northwest Derby Company, will be hosting a double-header on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.

Northwest Derby Company is Kitsap County’s only adult roller derby league and is a nonprofit run by volunteers. The league began back in January 2012 and belongs to the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for the double-header with the first whistle occurring at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for general admission with discounts for active military ($12) and children ($7). A beer garden is available for fans over 21. For more details, future events, roller derby culture, and sponsors, visit northwestderbycompany.com.
