KPHD: Three new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Kitsap Tuesday

Countywide total of virus cases hits 181, 17 added in last two weeks

Three new cases of COVID-19 were added by the Kitsap Public Health District Tuesday, leaving the countywide total at 181 cases, according to the district’s daily update. Bainbridge Island, which until last week hadn’t seen any new cases since early April, received its 13th confirmed infection.

A total of 9,851 residents have tested negative — of those tested, the positive test rate is below two percent. In the last two weeks, a total of 17 cases have been added, a sharp jump compared to the entire month of May which saw just 11 new cases.

Of the 181 cases, 13 have been reported on Bainbridge Island, 58 in Bremerton, 30 in Central Kitsap, 38 in North Kitsap and 42 in South Kitsap. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed by Kitsap Public Health District as well.

The age breakdown for confirmed cases is as follows:

0 – 19: 10

20 – 29: 32

30 – 39: 22

40 – 49: 31

50 – 59: 43

60 – 69: 21

70 – 79: 15

80 and older: 7
