Kitsap County primary election results, as of Wednesday night

County’s only close primary race is slightly tighter

PORT ORCHARD — With an influx of counted ballots on Wednesday added to the primary election vote totals in Kitsap County, the only race appearing to be closely contested got a little closer.

In that race, candidates for the South Kitsap School District’s Board of Directors District 5 seat edged closer to each other in the vote count. Challenger Jeff Daily continued to lead incumbent Greg Wall for the seat by a margin of 36.7 percent to 34 percent. Jill A Boltz trailed at 28.8 percent.

Initial returns on Tuesday night after the mail-in deadline for ballots had passed, Daily led by a margin of 37.5 percent to 33.1 percent over Wall. Boltz had a percentage total of 29.1 percent.

The vote percentages for the candidates seeking the SKSD District 2 directorship remained steady, with John R. Berg leading Glenny Compton by nearly 1,000 votes.
