Kitsap County to reopen parking areas, park facilities still closed

Gov. Jay Inslee revised restrictions on his “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, which loosened limitations on recreational activities such as day-use of public lands and fishing.

The revised guidelines will allow for Kitsap County Parks to re-open all parking areas on May 5. However, playgrounds, dog parks, sports courts, shelters, and restrooms will remain closed for the duration of the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order. Kitsap County still recommends residents continue following social distancing guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control.

The Kitsap County Parks office will remain closed. To contact staff during the closure, call 360-340-6661 or email parks@co.kitsap.wa.us.
