Kitsap 911

Here's three recent reports from area law enforcement agencies

Molestation charge filed

Bremerton resident John Estus Ferreira, 43, of the 1900 block of Winfield Avenue, has been charged in Kitsap County District Court with child molestation in the first degree.

According to court documents, the alleged victim in the case reported the molestation to an official at Bremerton High School and said Ferreira had been touching her inappropriately since the fifth grade. The victim was subsequently interviewed at the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Special Assault Unit offices.

The victim said Ferreira began touching her breasts and buttocks when she was 10 or 11 years old. The victim said the abuse went on for several years and escalated. She said she told family members about the abuse before reporting the abuse at the high school, which under state law must report such disclosures to police.  Ferreira was contacted and interviewed by police and denied all of the allegations.

Man faces rape charge

Bremerton resident Ronald Eugene Folmer, 44, of the 2700 block of Callahan Drive has been charged in Kitsap County District Court with rape in the second degree. The alleged victim in the case told police she has been friends with Folmer for about a year and met him through mutual friends in the “drug scene.” She said she went to visit Folmer at about 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 to shoot heroin with him. The woman told police she has told Folmer several times that they are just friends and she is not interested in him romantically because she already has a boyfriend. The woman told police she gave Folmer some heroin and injected herself with about the twice the normal amount she would use. She said she was seated on a chair in the shed and almost immediately went into unconsciousness. Some time later, the woman said she woke up to find her pants and underwear had been pulled down to about mid-thigh Folmer and was raping her. During the investigation, police discovered that Folmer had two active warrants, one for attempted unlawful imprisonment and a failure to appear in a theft in the third degree case. Detectives also got a search warrant to search Folmer’s residence where they found some methamphetamine.

“Upon seeing us approach, Folmer quickly left the property and began walking away,” a police report states. “He was apprehended nearby by patrol officers.” After being arrested on the warrants, Folmer denied raping the woman and said he had never had sex with her. He admitted to using some of her heroin. He also admitted to using meth.

Two assault charges filed

Auburn resident Christina Michele Edmonds, 55, has been charged with two counts of assault in the third degree. Court documents indicate that Edmonds has 19 known aliases, including Alicia Kishaba. On the morning of Sept. 30, officers were dispatched to an assault at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. An officer discovered that four hospital staff members had been assaulted by “Kishaba,” who was a patient. Hospital staff said due to some of Kishaba’s injuries, they refused to give her oral medications. “The lack of medication caused Kishaba to become angry and violent,” court documents state. “Kishaba threw items, head-butted, struck, grabbed and spit on four separate members of the Harrison Medical Center staff. All the victims of Kishaba’s assault provided statements on scene.”

Beyond the assaults, court documents allege that “Kishaba” was threatening to hunt down the staff. She also allegedly threatened to kill one staff member.
