Kitsap County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a homicide near Poulsbo after a 50-year-old man was found dead June 7.

Deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious death after the man’s body was found outside his home, per a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post. Further investigation by deputies and the Kitsap County Medical Examiner found evidence of homicidal violence. Detectives secured the house in the 22000 block of Big Valley Road NE, and a forensic team arrived on the morning of June 9 to gather more evidence.

The identity of the man, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Medical Examiner’s Office after notification of the victim’s family, per KCSO.
