A confidential informant has helped Bremerton police catch a major drug dealer in three counties now being held on $2.25 million bail.

The 42-year-old Bremerton man was in Kitsap County Superior Court May 19 facing two charges. He faces 10 years and up to $25,000 in fines for possession with intent to deliver meth of up to $25,000, depending on the amount of drugs; and unlawful possession of a firearm, with the maximum sentence of 10 years and $20,000 in fines.

Court records say Bremerton police arrested the man May 16 at 4:29 p.m. in the 300 block of N. Lafayette Avenue.

In January a confidential informant told police about a major drug dealer of meth, fentanyl and cocaine in Kitsap, Clallam and Jefferson counties. The suspect rented vehicles to pick up large quantities of drugs from Mexican traffickers in California and take them to his stash house in Bremerton.

The informant used BPD funds to buy drugs. But when police came to arrest the suspect, he had already seen a marked car and had a customer take multiple firearms, narcotics and cash. So when the bust was made, he didn’t have much.

But he did admit to giving that customer some product and money. The suspect helped find her, and Sequim police made that arrest. In the vehicle was $3,703 in cash, 9mm and .22 caliber pistols, firearm parts and ammunition, about 5 pounds of fentanyl inside Tupperware, about 4.2 pounds of meth, 2.6 pounds of cocaine, about 87 more grams of fentanyl in a backpack, about 11.5 grams of crack cocaine and about 353 grams of fentanyl pills.

The suspect then went with police to his storage unit in Silverdale. They found 23 more pounds of meth, 2.2 pounds of fentanyl, 1.8 pounds of fentanyl pills, 76 grams of heroin, four firearms and assorted parts and ammunition and $72,125 in cash.

The suspect was released so police could further the narcotics trafficking investigation.

They watched the suspect use a rental vehicle to go to California and return. He unloaded several large backpacks and duffel bags. Police found several pounds of fentanyl, meth and cocaine in one backpack. He admitted having $100,000, narcotics and firearms in his home. He said he had picked up 60 pounds of narcotics on the trip and was supposed to make another trip the next day. He also told police the combinations to safes in his house. In the home police also found a rifle and pistol.

In the garage police found a washing station used to concentrate and purify meth with 4.4 pounds of meth piled in an open cardboard box.
