High winds prompt Kitsap Transit to cancel fast ferry service

High winds have forced Kitsap Transit to cancel all fast ferry sailings today.

Both the Bremerton/Seattle and Kingston/Seattle routes will not be in operation, said the Rider Alert sent out around 11:55 a.m.

For the Kingston Fast Ferry customers, Kitsap Transit will stage buses at the Kingston Ferry Terminal which will transport riders to the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal. Buses at Bainbridge will also transport customers to Kingston as well.

Fast-ferry passholders may speak to a Kitsap Transit Marine Services ambassador at Pier 52 for a ticket to ride on Washington State Ferries.
