A 43-year-old Hansville man has been jailed on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly assaulting a woman he had been dating, per the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
The 47-year-old victim said she was in the process of breaking off the relationship with the suspect when he followed her to her home Feb. 1, allegedly dragging her out of her car and repeatedly assaulting her, per KCSO.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call placed by a friend of the victim after she went to her home and told her about the assault. Deputies located the suspect at his mother’s home a short time later, where he was hiding in a bedroom. He surrendered without incident after he was told a K-9 deputy would be released into the room to subdue him, KCSO says.
The suspect was booked into the Kitsap County Jail and is being held without bail. He was scheduled to appear in Kitsap County Superior Court Feb. 2 on charges of first-degree attempted murder and harassment with a previous conviction.
