Former mayoral candidate Ricky Moon files for Poulsbo City Council

Ricky Moon has once again thrown his hat into the ring for local government, having filed for Poulsbo City Council Position 3 on Friday, May 17.

Moon was able to squeeze in on the last day of election filings, but Friday’s filing wasn’t Moon’s first attempt at entering the political scene. In 2017 Moon ran against incumbent mayor Becky Erickson, before losing by a landslide that November.

Later, in early 2018, Moon attempted to fill a seat on the council left open by John Bukowsky. Bukowsky won the November election, but opted not to take the position after deciding that the demands of his day job were too high. Moon later withdrew from consideration for the position, citing a recent cancer diagnosis, for which he would be seeking treatment.
