Feb. 5 is hearing date for zoning code, map update

Planning Commission is seeking public input on city’s draft update.

PORT ORCHARD — The city’s Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during its regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, in the City Council Chambers at Port Orchard City Hall, 216 Prospect St.

Attendees are invited to take testimony and comment on the city’s draft update to the zoning code and zoning map.

The draft chapters of the zoning code and the zoning map can be viewed online at www.cityofportorchard.us/2018-update-to-the-zoning-code or at the front counter of the Department of Community Development at 720 Prospect St., Port Orchard.

Any interested person or public agency is invited to attend the public hearing and/or submit written comments to the Department of Community Development on or before 4 p.m., Feb. 5.
