POULSBO — Poulsbo Mayor Becky Erickson and City Council members David Musgrove and Ed Stern each took the oath of office on Jan. 3 at the council’s first meeting of the year.

The council also approved engineering projects, project grants and a waste management plan (see “How They Voted”).

Erickson was elected to a third term Nov. 7 as Poulsbo’s 21st mayor, garnering 2,610 votes to building contractor Ricky Moon’s 433. Musgrove and Stern each ran unopposed for reelection.

The oaths of office were administreed by Municipal Court Judge Jeffrey Tolman.

Meanwhile, the city is accepting applications until the end of this month for appointment to City Council Position 7. The position was made vacant when John R. Bukowsky, who was elected in November, said he couldn’t take office because of the demands of his day job.
