Deceased male found Tuesday in Central Kitsap

Body was found in the vicinity of NW Hosman Circle and Old Frontier Rd NW, just west of Silverdale

A deceased male was found Tuesday in a field near NW Hosman Circle and Old Frontier Rd. NW, just west of Silverdale, according to Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Scott Wilson.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched around 11:30 a.m. after a man was walking his dog and noticed an odor nearby, according to Wilson. After searching, the man found the body and then called 911.

“It was very obvious the person was deceased,” Wilson said.

Kitsap County Coroner took custody of the body and an autopsy was expected to be conducted Wednesday. More information on the identity and manner of death will be provided as it becomes available.
