The following cases were filed in Kitsap County District Court:
— Third-degree driving with license suspended: A 53-year-old Bremerton man was cited in District Court for third-degree driving with a suspended license.
— Escape from Custody: A 31-year old Kingston woman was charged with unlawful escaping custody, from a complaint filed Sept. 23. There was no word on why she was in custody in the first place.
— Possession of Controlled Substance (heroin): A 40-year old Lake Bay man was charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin) on Oct. 2.
— Possession of Methamphetamine: On Oct. 1, a 26-year-old Bainbridge Island man was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
— Burglary and Domestic Violence: A 20-year-old Union man was arrested and charged in Kitsap County District court with one count of residential burglary and a second count of domestic violence for attacking his former partner. Charges were filed on Oct. 2.
— Violation of a Court Order (Domestic Violence): A 20-year-old Bremerton man was arrested and charged with ignoring a court order for having contact with his former partner. A special allegation of domestic violence was added to the charge. Multiple incidents occurred between July 18 and Aug. 8.
— Possession of a Controlled Substance: A 55-year-old Bellevue man was charged in Kitsap County Superior Court with felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
— Second-degree assault with special allegation: A 34-year-old man, considered a transient but listed as a Bremerton resident, was charged with second degree assault, plus a special allegation of domestic violence, for strangling and causing grievous bodily harm to a woman.
— Third-Degree assault of a police officer: A 45-year-old Poulsbo man made the unwise decision to first attack a police officer, and then to do it by hitting the officer with a Taser. He is currently in custody.
— Third-degree assault: 63-year-old Bremerton man was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
— Assault in the Third Degree (two counts): A 37-year-old Bremerton man was charged with two counts of assault in the third degree for attacking two healthcare workers.
— Fourth-degree assault with special allegation: A 37-year-old Silverdale man was arrested on Oct. 3 and charged with attacking his former partner. A special allegation of domestic violence was included in the charge.
— Second-Degree vehicle prowling: a 20-year-old Union man was arrested on Oct. 2 and charged with second-degree vehicle prowling for breaking into a sailboat at one of the local marinas.
— Prostitution and lying to a public servant: A 24-year-old Bellevue woman was charged with one count of prostitution and another count of lying to a public servant.
