Cars to cruise through Little Norway Saturday

Event different this year due to coronavirus

Last year Poulsbo celebrated its first Downtown Poulsbo Car & Boat show, but this year, due to COVID-19, the city will celebrate its first car cruise instead Saturday.

“To cheer ourselves up, we have decided to put together a fun ‘Cruise through Little Norway’,” Carol Ingles with the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association said.

The association is not hosting the event this time, but some of its members are volunteering to organize it.

Classic cars from all over will meet in the parking lot of the Rite Aid on 7th Avenue in Poulsbo on Sept. 12 then cruise throughout downtown and other neighborhoods starting at 3:30 p.m.

“We invite any and all makes and years of cars to join the cruise. You might find it useful to have a passenger with you to help navigate the cruise route. Bring along your favorite backseat driver,” Ingles said.

“This will be the first time this specific cruise has happened in Poulsbo, so we’ll be making history in a truly historic year and a genuinely historic town.”
