Elton Goodwin Foundation 2nd Annual Fall Dinner & Charity Auction

Elton Goodwin Memorial Foundation

Saturday, Nov. 7, from 6-11 p.m.

Port Orchard

The Elton Goodwin Memorial Foundation is hosting its Second Annual Fall Dinner and Charity Auction at the Port Orchard Eagles.

Each year, The Elton Goodwin Memorial Foundation provides scholastic and athletic opportunities for hundreds of children in the South Kitsap community through scholarships, low-income assistance grants, work-study programs and athletic facility improvements.

Last year, this event raised nearly $30,000 towards the foundation’s goals. In anticipation of 300-plus attendees this year, the organizers have doubled the capacity to include two floors of silent and live auction items and raffle prizes. It also has added a ‘surf n’ turf’ menu of Baron of Beef, BBQ salmon, chowder, fry-bread, red potatoes, and coleslaw. Hor d’ouevres include smoked salmon, crab, steamed clams, and smoked and grilled oysters on the half shell, plus a variety of fresh fruits, meats and cheeses.

Not only is the contribution of an auction or raffle item a great way to support the children of South Kitsap, organizers say, it is also a great venue for local businesses to showcase their products while receiving a 501c3 tax deduction.

Live and silent auction, and raffle items includes:
