Bremerton woman hurt in wreck south of Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — A Bremerton woman was injured Sunday after the car she was driving left the roadway and fell down an embankment south of Port Townsend, the State Patrol said.

Christina M. Lange, 64, was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton after the 5:07 p.m. wreck on state Highway 19 just north of state Highway 104, troopers said in a collision report.

Her condition was not immediately available Monday.

Lange was traveling northbound when the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser left the roadway to the right, fell down a 20-foot embankment and came to a rest on its top, the State Patrol said.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Lange, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for negligent driving, according to the collision report.

Distracted driving was listed as the cause of the crash.
