Director Naomi Evans recently resigned, citing personal reasons

The Bremerton School Board announced Thursday that it will be seeking candidates to fill position 1, following the resignation of Director Naomi Evans for personal reasons.

“We want to thank Director Evans for her service to the district, our community and our students in her nearly four years on the board,” Bremerton School District Superintendent Aaron Leavell said in a statement.

The district said it must fill the position within 90 days considering the looming November election. The appointee will fill the position until the conclusion of the 2019 election.

Applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 8. Candidate interviews will be held at the board meeting August 1. The selected candidate will take an oath of office during the August 15 board meeting.
