BREMERTON – Two Bremerton certified public accountant firms – Hurley, Williams & Cook PS, and Ball & Treger, LLP – merged in December to form the largest professional office of CPA’s in Kitsap County and one of the larger CPA firms in the greater Puget Sound Region. The new firm will be known as the Hearthstone CPA Group.
“We view this merger as a significant benefit for clients of both firms, as well as our employees. We remain committed to continuing to support all of our clients with their tax, accounting and auditing needs,” the company stated in a press release.
“Our clients will have increased levels of services and expertise and our firm’s employees will have additional opportunities for growth and expansion. By building on both firm’s strengths and reputations as CPA’s in our community we will be able to continue to attract the most talented professionals in the industry.”
The combined firms will employ 23 staff including 16 CPAs.
Established in 1986, Hurley Williams & Cook, PS has been providing professional services for nearly 30 years. Established in 1979, Ball & Treger, LLP has been providing professional services for over 35 years. Both firms handled business auditing, accounting, tax and management advisory services, as well as individual tax planning and preparation.
Ball and Treger, LLP will be moving their office around June 1, 2016, to the Hurley Williams & Cook, PS office located in the Hearthstone Center building at 4312 Kitsap Way.
