Bellringer set to toll in 2003

The Raab Foundation, the Noon Lions and the North Kitsap Herald were astounded last year by the generosity of our community. When the call for Bellringer donations went out, the state economy was in the dumps and no one was really certain whether the $25,000 goal was too high to reach. You raised more than $32,000 when all was said and done.

Well, the economy is slowly rebounding but our less-fortunate neighbors still need our help to get them through another year. The goal this year, again, is $25,000. And, again, we’d love to toll in much higher for the Bellringer.

The fund has helped thousands during its long and prosperous relationship with North Kitsap. It has also helped countless others feel good about lending a hand — both small and large — to their neighbors.

One would be hard pressed to find a worthier cause than assisting those in need, when they need it most.

The Herald is once again proud to be part of the North Kitsap Bellringer tradition and a community that gives so freely so often. Let’s spread this pride throughout the area again during the 2003 fund-raiser and all donate what we can to this worthy cause.
