POULSBO — Antoinette (Toni) Marie (Ruff) Mitchell passed away on Sept. 14. She was 94.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1922, in Colusa, California, and met James Robert Mitchell in Seattle while training to be a nurse. They were engaged six weeks later and enjoyed a beautiful life together.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother to six children, and eventually had 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her community service included St. Olaf Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society, the St. Catherine Society, and Martha & Mary Nursing Home.

She is survived by her children, Jim Mitchell and his wife, Jude, Terry Mitchell and his wife, Karen, Debbie Ryan and her husband, Jim, Larry Mitchell and his wife, Eileen, Dale Mitchell and his wife, Marla, and Randy Mitchell and his wife, Theresa, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
