The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Amber Alert as deputies seek North Kitsap resident Rebecca Khirstean Forrester, 32. Forrester reportedly abducted her 2-month-old daughter, Serenity Withrow, Wednesday.

The infant’s life is believed to be in danger.

Forrester is 5 foot 3 inches tall and 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes and she was last seen in Poulsbo driving a white 2001 Dodge Dakota four-door pickup with the Washington license plate number A02765P. She has five children between the ages of 2 months and 13-years-old, and has had her parental rights revoked for three of them, KCSO officials said.

She has a history of physical abuse and heavy drug use.

The infant was born in a private residence and has not received any medical attention since her birth, KCSO officials said. The Kitsap County Superior Court ordered Forrester to give up custody of the infant to Child Protective Services.

The infant had been removed from Forrester’s custody once before, but was restored during court proceedings by a judge, KCSO officials said, until she failed a drug test and was ordered to turn the child over to CPS.

The father, Charles Ray Yaun, 33, has an outstanding felony warrant from Clallam County and is a convicted felon.

Anyone who has any information about Forrester, her whereabouts or has seen a woman or vehicle matching the above description is asked to call Detective Chad Birkenfeld at (360) 337-7111 during work hours, Kitsap County Central Communications at (360) 308-5400 after work hours or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at (800) CRIME-3.
