ADVISORY | Law enforcement search in progress for man who allegedly fled from traffic stop in Poulsbo

Law enforcement officers from three different agencies are searching for an individual who ran from a traffic stop in the area of State Route 3 and State Route 305 in Poulsbo.

The report came in at around 12:30 p.m.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Brandon Johanson advised that drivers passing through that area exercise caution. In an update on Twitter, Johanson stated: “There is an increased law enforcement presence in the area of Inspiration St and Viking Ave. A K9 and WSP aircraft are being deployed to better track the suspect. Please be on alert if in the area.”

The individual who ran from officers identified himself during the traffic stop before fleeing into a nearby treeline, Johanson said.
