Additional weekend foot ferry service set

Additional summer foot ferry service has been lined up by the City of Port Orchard, Port of Bremerton and City of Bremerton.

Additional summer foot ferry service has been lined up by the City of Port Orchard, Port of Bremerton and City of Bremerton.

Runs also have been extended for special events and holidays.The fare is $2 cash per person, each way. Children under 5 ride free.

On Saturdays and Sundays, ferries depart Port Orchard at the top of the hour and 30 minutes after the hour. Departures from Bremerton are at 15 minutes and 45 minutes after the hour. No passes or ORCA cards will be accepted for the additional service. Weekday service, which leaves the Annapolis ferry dock, is unchanged.

The summer weekend service schedule is as follows: Saturday between 8 and 9 p.m. May 30; June 6, 13, 20 and 27; July 18 and 25; Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; and Sept. 5.

Sunday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. May 31; June 7, 14 and 21; July 5, 12 and 19; Aug. 2, 16, 23 and 30.

Weekend service also will be extended for summer events and holidays, including: Fathoms O’ Fun Parade Weekend June 28, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Bremerton Beer Festival July 11, 8-10:30 p.m.; Mustang on the Waterfront July 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; The Cruze Aug. 9, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Blackberry Festival Sept. 6, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sept. 7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
