At 1:18 p.m. March 19, an officer responded to a domestic dispute at an Austin Drive residence. The caller, a female, said her boyfriend had physically threatened her during a verbal altercation. The dispute began when the female questioned her boyfriend’s ability to land a full-time job, additionally accusing him of laziness around the house. According to the report, the scrutiny upset the man so he packed his bags, threatening to leave with two duffel bags in tow. The woman also said her boyfriend shook his fists at her after she threatened to call the police. He broke a video game case over his knee, yelling, “Call the cops, or this is gonna be your face!” The man was arrested for harassment and booked into jail on $10,000 bail.

At 2:28 p.m. March 19, an officer received news that a man wanted on a no-bail felony warrant was spotted at Bremerton Lanes. The officer went to the bowling alley, asked the security officers about the man’s whereabouts and eventually spotted him on a surveillance camera. The officer contacted the suspect outside the alley, asking him who he was. The suspect failed to provide a last name, so the officer arrested him. During the arrest, however, the suspect reached into his pants pocket, forcing the officer to let go of his hand. Free from cuffs, the suspect fled on foot toward a nearby Les Schwab building. The officer shot him with a tazer and arrested him on obstruction charges. The man was booked into jail and his no bail felony warrant was sent to prosecutors for charging.

Burglary at Midtown Market

At 8:45 a.m. March 19, a Midtown Market employee called police to report burglary. The caller said two air compressors had gone missing from the old gas station portion of the business, located next door on 6th Street. The responding officer investigated, finding both of the station’s padlocks broken and the air compressors missing.
