COVID-19 infections continue to rise in Kitsap County

22 active cases of COVID-19, 267 total infections since March

The Kitsap Public Health District reported 22 active cases of COVID-19 throughout the county Tuesday, bringing the countywide total number of confirmed infections to 267, with a positive test rate of just over two percent.

A total of 12,471 residents have tested negative for COVID-19. June saw a total of 89 cases added by the public health district, a sharp jump compared to May which only saw 11 new cases.

Of the 265 cases, 15 have been reported on Bainbridge Island, 92 in Bremerton, 43 in Central Kitsap, 53 in North Kitsap and 64 in South Kitsap. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed by Kitsap Public Health District as well.

The age breakdown for confirmed cases is as follows:

0 – 19: 21

20 – 29: 57

30 – 39: 36

40 – 49: 38

50 – 59: 54

60 – 69: 30

70 – 79: 20

80 and older: 11
