HOMETOWN: Bremerton.

BRANCH: U.S. Navy.

YEARS OF SERVICE: 1944-46; 1950-53.

HIGHEST RANK ATTAINED: Lieutenant commander.

SIGNIFICANT DUTY STATIONS OR DEPLOYMENTS DURING THE WAR: Served in the South Pacific. Called back into service for the Korean War. Active in the Navy Reserve and obtained the rank of lieutenant commander.

POST-WAR CAREER: Continued his career at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where he worked before the war, and retired as structural group superintendent.
