BRANCH: U.S. Navy.

YEARS OF SERVICE: 30 years.

HIGHEST RANK ATTAINED: Chief warrant officer 4.

SIGNIFICANT DUTY STATIONS OR DEPLOYMENTS DURING THE WAR: USS Saratoga (CV-3), USS Solomons (CVE-67).

POST-WAR CAREER: Continued in the Navy until retirement, seeing action in Korea. After Navy retirement, was in the ship security business.

OTHER: His Navy career started on the USS Tennessee (BB-43). Became a chief boatswain’s mate before becoming a CWO.
