More volunteers can help keep things going at Village Green

There are new programs being added at Village Green Community Center all the time.

To see the latest, stop by or check out the facility’s calendar at www.tinyurl.com/VGCCCalendar.

The Village Green Foundation continues to work on a wide range of exciting projects to enhance the facility. We’ve already accomplished a lot this year and soon you’ll see a much-requested shade sail added near the playground in the park.

There are more initiatives in the works that just need some volunteer or financial support to become reality. Want to help? Reach out via email to kingstonvillagegreenfoundation@gmail.com.

Meanwhile, a new exhibit is on display in the community center’s Grand Hallway Gallery for June and July. We’ll celebrate artist Lori Barrett along with her mixed media watercolors at a reception June 2 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Music at the Green, the summer outdoor concert series, kicks off June 28 at 6:30 p.m. with Anzanga, an African marimba band.

Throughout the summer, enjoy a different musical group in the Village Green Park every Wednesday. A complete list of acts and their performance dates can be found at www.tinyurl.com/MusicAtTheGreen.

Volunteers are needed to keep this wonderful program going, too; to find out how to help, send an email to programs@myvillagegreen.org or call 360-297-1263.
