Cheryl Miller

PORT ORCHARD — Cheryl Miller, 66, ended her battle with cancer on Nov. 11, 2017, in hospice care at her home in Port Orchard.

Cheryl was born June 2, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to parents Robert and Dorothy Butler.

Cheryl attended Shawnee Mission West High School, Northwestern University and the University of Kansas.

Her interests were great and varied, allowing her to work in many fields. Those interests included taking part in rare book dealing, real estate, freelance journalism and photography and owning and running a custom picture-frame shop.

She was a certified BBQ judge, and her friends and family will always remember her as an avid Texas Hold ’Em player, dog lover and excellent chef at home.

Cheryl leaves behind her daughter Andrea “Dee” Werner, husband Austin Miller and dogs Arfur and Yoyo.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Werner in 1996 and her sister Beverly Rylko in 2014.

A Celebration of Life will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Grace Community Fellowship in Port Orchard.
