Made our community stronger by investing in our students

On Nov. 14, the North Kitsap Schools Foundation gave out $53,000 in grants at our annual Celebration of Learning. The funds will support extraordinary learning opportunities throughout the North Kitsap School District and were awarded to teachers and district staff who go above and beyond in challenging, enriching and engaging our students.

This year’s grants bring the foundation’s total since 2012 to $300,000.

The foundation couldn’t do its work without caring community partners, including Celebration of Education sponsors Patterson Buchanan Fobes & Leitch, Inc., P.S., Port Madison Enterprises, The Suquamish Tribe, Olympic Resource Management, Cliff Foster of Porter, Foster, Rorick, LLP, and Dr. Laurynn Evans.

Other partners include: Town & Country Markets, Inc., Walmart, Dr. Dan Peck, Kiwanis of Greater Poulsbo, Poulsbo Noon Lions, Poulsbo Rotary Club, Kingston-North Kitsap Rotary Club, teachers and staff who donate through payroll deduction, and everyone who supported the foundation during the Kitsap Great Give and Dine Out for North Kitsap Schools.

On behalf of the foundation’s board of directors, thank you! You’ve made our community stronger by investing in our students, teachers and schools.
