Embarq employees spread cheer

(On Nov. 16) my husband and I joined some HDPA merchants and some wonderful employees from Embarq to put up the Christmas lights and banners in downtown. We had never done this before but for many different reasons we decided this was the year to join the group.

We met for breakfast with several merchants and friends and a table full of Embarq employees including our local representative Jeff Dennison. Everyone was given an assignment by John Kuntz and Jim Wise as to directing traffic, fluffing greenery and getting the strings ready for the Embarq trucks and employees to string the lights.

How fantastic to watch the Embarq guys put up the strings of lights and greenery across Front Street and Jensen Way. Their interaction with the local residents and us workers was extremely friendly as they continued to get the task completed. I think they had fun as well.

We just wanted to say a big thank you to Jeff and Dan and their entire crew from Embarq. Thanks should go to Jim and John and all the merchants who participated as well. We love the lights and enjoy the Holiday Season in Poulsbo every year and it is just one more reason we are glad we moved to our lovely city.
