City workers put up a 7- by 6-foot dragonfly sculpture in front of Bainbridge Island City Hall recently. It is part of the annual Something New art rotation. The ‘Prehistoric Dragonfly’ by Leon White is made from aluminum, glass and paint. White used vintage glass headlights that glow at night because he wanted its eyes to bulge out.
