Step into a celebration of beer, board games and nerd culture at Ashley’s Pub: Boardom’s End

Grand opening and cosplaying event took place on June 16

BREMERTON — Ashley’s Pub: Boardom’s End had its official grand-opening event on June 16.

Aside from rotating beer and cider on 16 taps, the bar also has numerous board and card games available for all patrons to play, as well as pinball machines and video game consoles.

“I love board games, I love nerd culture, but I also really love beer and cider,” owner Ashley Martinez said. “I definitely feel like this place encourages not just the kid in me to come out more, but the kid in other people to come out more.”

The grand opening also included a cosplaying contest, and many people showed up in costumes referencing comic book characters, like Wonder Woman; TV show characters, like Gaz from “Invader Zim”; and many more. Prizes were given out every couple hours for costumes.

Ashley’s Pub: Boardom’s End is open 3 p.m. to midnight daily, and is located at 409 Pacific Ave., Suite 101, Bremerton (look for the courtyard entrace on Fourth Street between Park and Pacific avenues). Online: www.ashleys.pub or facebook.com/ashleyspubkitsap.
