The Port of Poulsbo will ask voters to expand the district’s boundaries to the city limits, as well as Poulsbo’s Urban Growth Area. The port commission voted March 3 to place the measure on the Nov. 8 ballot. Port Manager Brad Miller said Lemolo and Scandia — two areas that overwhelmingly opposed an annexation measure in 2014 — will not be included in the proposed port district.

Poulsbo Mayor Becky Erickson, who was interviewing candidates for city prosecutor Jan. 15, said Purves has agreed to stay on until a new prosecutor is hired.
Trial for a malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Narinder M. Duggal has been rescheduled for April 26 in Kitsap County Superior Court. According to the plaintiff, trial was rescheduled from Dec. 8 because the judge, Jay B. Roof, is retiring “and took himself off our case and nobody could hear the case in time.”
