The North Kitsap School District Festival of the Arts will be held 5-8 p.m. April 29 at Kingston Middle School, and will include art by students in every district school.
Samuel White, a member of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, joined the Port Gamble S’Klallam Police Department as chief of police on Oct. 22. Recently, White talked to the North Kitsap Herald about his new job and his goals for the department.

For Virginia McKinney, the Chuckwagon Meals on Wheels program is wonderful. McKinney, 85, has been in the program for more than five years, and relies on it for nutritious meals Monday through Friday.
