Dear Jan: We heard on the news that the Seattle market has picked up. Is that true for Kitsap County also?
Dear Jan: They say that we are moving into a seller’s market, that the inventory is low. My real estate broker told me that when we get an offer on our home, that most likely the buyer will ask us to pay part of or all of the buyer’s closing costs.
Dear Jan: We currently have our home on the market. We are thinking that maybe we should take it off the market for a while this winter and then re-list it later. Does it do any good these days to take it off the market for a while?
Dear Jan: I am good with people and have been told I would make a good real estate agent. What are the requirements to become an agent and how much does it cost? Also, how do I get a job once I am ready?
Dear Jan: We want to have a home built so we are looking at buying a piece of land. Our problem, though, is that if we buy the land and pay it off in full, then we don’t have money to build with. Is there a way around this problem?
Dear Jan: We have been tossing around the idea of combining households with our adult offspring and their children. Are there homes out there that can house all of us under one roof without everyone stumbling all over one another?
We are buying a home that is a short sale. It’s taking a long time for the seller’s bank to OK our price. Our agent is out of town. Can you tell us if we can get out of this sale?
