HANSVILLE — The Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club of Hansville is offering scholarships of $1,000 to $3,000 to students pursuing a degree or certificate in an environmental or horticultural related field.

High school seniors, college students and/or continuing education students who are permanent residents of Kitsap County may apply. The scholarships will be awarded in May.

Applications are available at advisers’ offices at North Kitsap and Kingston high schools and can be downloaded from the club’s website at www.flotsamand jetsamgardenclub.com.

The club is also offering grants for beautification and conservation projects in the region. Those applications are available on the club’s website as well.

Deadline for both is April 30. Applications can be mailed to Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club at P.O. Box 14, Hansville, WA 98340. Attn. Scholarships and Grants Committee; or submitted electronically to f.j.scholar ships@gmail.com.
