Lester J. Goodsell

Lester J. Goodsell of Kingston died Oct. 23 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 56.

He was born to James and Dineva on Nov. 20, 1952 in Rolla, N.D. Goodsell married Song An in Miles City, Mont., on April 4, 1974. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972-74; serving overseas in Korea from January 1973 to January 1974; and earning National Service Defense Medal and the Armed Forces Expedition Medal.

He worked for Myhre Concrete for 10 years. He was a member of St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in Poulsbo.

He was preceded in death by both his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Song of Poulsbo; sons: James of Kingston and Jesse (Crystal) Goodsell of Everett; sisters: Joneil (Verdeen) Backstrom, Corrine (Janferd) Mees, Deb (Loren) Green, Sheila (Robert) Johnson, Jackie (Mike) Blum, Roxanne (Hal) Haines and Valorie (Clay) Myhre; and a granddaughter, Madison. A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, 18943 Caldart Ave. NE, Poulsbo.
