Kenneth M. Chambers

Kenneth M. Chambers of Poulsbo died July 13 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. He was 74.

He was born April 26, 1935, in Cosmopolis to Emma Graves and Forrest Chambers. He married Barbara Marshall on June 7, 1957, in Forks.

Chambers worked as a logger in the Forks area before relocating to Kitsap County in 1978 where he owned and operated Chambers Construction Inc. until 2004, when he retired.

Chambers enjoyed hunting, fishing, reloading, shooting, camping, traveling and his dog, Bear.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Curry.

Surviving are his loving wife: Barbara of Poulsbo; son: Chris Chambers (Susan) of Poulsbo; daughter: Shannon Buchan (Rob) of Poulsbo; grandchildren: Bryn Zuarri-Davis, (Tony), Christopher Chambers and Dana Chambers; step-granddaughter Melissa (Zuarri) Cott; and great-grandchildren: Jastin, Elisa, Addisyn and Brileigh Davis.

A memorial service will be from 1-3 p.m. July 25 at his home.
