Jack Henry, 80

Jack Henry of Indianola died May 9, 2007 at his home. He was 80.

Henry was born to William and Louise Henry in Seattle on Aug. 16, 1926.

He married Geraldine Hanson in 1954. After her death, he married Anne Laird in 1974.

He graduated from North Kitsap High School and received a degree in political science from Stanford University.

He served in the Navy as a signalman during World War II and worked as a lumber broker for the Biddle Purchasing Company. He later worked for the Girl Scouts of America as a properties manager until his retirement in 1992.

He served as president of the Indianola Beach Improvement Club and was an Indianola port commissioner and chairman of the Indianola History Committee.

He enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Henry is survived by his sons Matthew (Suzanne) Henry of Melbourne, Australia and William (Susan) Henry of Indianola; brother Robert T. Henry of Port Orchard; and two grandsons.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Henry.
