John D. Whannell, 76

John D. Whannell of Poulsbo died Nov. 28, 2006 in Bremerton. He was 76.

Whannell was born to Thomas and Mollie Whannell in Tacoma on Jan. 5, 1930.

He married Lois I. Kidder on March 17, 1950 in Fairbanks, Alaska.

He enjoyed saltwater fishing and playing golf. He was a Mason and member of the Eastern Star as well as a member of the Vinland Lutheran Church.

Whannell is survived by his wife Lois Whannell of Poulsbo; daughter Sue Shaw; two granddaughters and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

No formal services will be held.
