John V. Mabe of Indianola died Nov. 24, 2007 in Indianola. He was 70.
Mabe was born to Garnet and Hazel Mabe in Suquamish on Aug. 9, 1937.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1963 and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the VFW.
Mabe is survived by sons John Wallace, Mark, James and John; daughters Elaine, Shawn and Martha; brothers Lewis Mabe and Bill Mabe; sister Loni McDonald; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and friends.
Mabe was preceded in death by his sisters Rose, Edna and Myrte and brothers Sam, Bill and Skip.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 2 at the Suquamish Tribal Center Gymnasium. Interment will take place at Chief Sealth Cemetery. A dinner will be served at the tribal gym following the services.
