Richard L. Deason, 67

Former Poulsbo resident Richard L. Deason died June 15, 2006 in Prescott, Ariz. He was 67.

He was born to Oliver and Ethel Deason in Sacred Heart, Minn.

Deason installed telephone systems and fiber optics for the North Kitsap Community Schools and Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe for a number of years before retiring to Arizona in 2001.

Survivors are his significant other Jane DeLashmutt of Prescott, Ariz.; son Dave Deason of Montevideo, Minn.; daughter Andrea (Doug) DeJong of Boyd, Minn.; brother Tom (Sherry) Deason of Los Lunas, N.M.; sister Carole Graves of Orange Park, Fla.; and two grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ethel Deason and sister Janice Stemwedel.

The family requests that if desired, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
